InnoCult – Innovative development of Cultural and Active Tourism along the touristic routes in Hegyköz Area

InnoCult – Innovative development of Cultural and Active Tourism along the touristic routes in Hegyköz Area project (project number: SKHU/1801/1.1/028) financed by Interreg V-A Slovakia Hungary Cooperation Programme aims to develop a complex solution to better exploit the heritage values and to boost tourism of the Hegyköz in the Slovak-Hungarian border area.

The project targets the following challenges:

  • unexploited active tourism potential; low level of cultural services and low quality of the existing ones
  • lack of of a single regional brand and an active tourism-related digital database
  • missing dialogue between Slovak and Hungarian communities, artists, residents and existing service providers.

InnoCult provides an innovative solution for all of these three issues, taking into consideration the importance of local communities’ cohesion and sustainable development.

The main objective of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the target area. In order to reach this goal the following activities will be implemented:

  • Capacity development of SMEs by purchasing equipment and creating new services: bike rental and equipment for events
  • Website and mobile application development
  • Joint festivals and events
  • Outdoor art installations
  • Videos promoting the cultural and natural values of the area
  • Joint marketing activities
